Welcome to the Freemansburg Borough Parks and Recreation web page!
The Parks and Recreation Department was established by the Freemansburg Borough Council to foster greater community involvement and enhance the quality of life for residents. The Department is comprised of a volunteer-based committee and provides a platform for residents to take an active role in the planning, creation, and hosting of a wide array of community-oriented events held at the Borough's parks and other public facilities.
The primary purpose of the Parks and Recreation Department is to create more recreational, cultural, and social opportunities for residents of all ages. Through collaboration with Borough staff, community members, and local organizations, the Department helps organize seasonal celebrations, family-friendly events, and initiatives that encourage outdoor activity, community pride, and neighborly connection.
Committee Members
The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for Committee Members. If you're interested in becoming a committee member of the Parks and Recreation Department, please submit a letter of intent including your name, address, and a brief explanation of why you would like to serve on the committee. Letters can be submitted to the Borough Administration Office at Borough Hall.
All submissions will be reviewed and presented to Borough Council for approval.
Volunteers and Community Service Partners
The Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers or community service partners to help at events. Community involvement is at the heart of what we do, and volunteers and community service partners play a vital role in bringing our events to life.
