Part-Time Patrol Officer
The Freemansburg Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of part-time patrol officer.
Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania Act 120 certified
  • At least twenty one (21) years of age
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license
  • Possess a High school diploma or GED
  • Applicants must meet all MPOETC required background, physical and psychological standards.

Part-Time Public Works Department Laborer
The Borough of Freemansburg, (Northampton County, PA) seeks a qualified applicant for a part-time laborer position within the Public Works Department. The position is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the Borough's streets, properties, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Starting salary is $18.00/hr.

Qualifications

  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a driver’s record that is acceptable to the Borough’s insurance provider. Employee shall maintain a driver’s record that is acceptable to the Borough’s insurance provider. (If the insurance provider deems an employee uninsurable, this shall be grounds for termination).
  • Results of the applicant background investigation must be acceptable to Borough Council. An investigation includes; criminal and driver’s history check, employment history check, reference check, and credit history check.
  • Must have computer hardware and software skills or be able to learn.
  • Preferable to have a minimum of one (1) years of Public Works related experience.

Working Requirements – this list is not all-inclusive.

  • Requires physical effort at least 75% of the time.
  • Requires exposure to the outdoor elements and temperature extremes.
  • Requires exposure to dirt, dust, and smells as may be related to sewer/street cleaning and/or maintenance activities.
  • Requires availability to be on-call for certain sewer, snow plowing, and/or flood related emergencies, as may be assigned by the Public Works Supervisor.

Candidates for employment are also subject to the BOROUGH OF FREEMANSBURG PERSONNEL POLICIES & PROCEDURES MANUAL and the duties/requirements listed in the Borough’s job description for Public Works Department Laborer.
